Delete your LineTappy account
You can delete your LineTappy account yourself at any time, in the app or on the web.
How to delete it
- In the LineTappy app: Settings › Delete my account.
- On the web: sign in at app.linetappy.com, open Account, then Delete my account.

What happens
- Your subscription is cancelled. A plan bought on the LineTappy website stops straight away; a Google Play subscription stops renewing (Google Play keeps the time already paid for, then it ends). You won't be charged again. Time already paid for isn't refunded.
- LineTappy puts your numbers' Twilio settings back the way they were before you used LineTappy, and removes the call app and spending alert it set up in your Twilio account.
- We delete your LineTappy account: your email address, account ID, plan details, the numbers you chose and how each is set up, your blocked numbers, your voicemail greeting, your support chats, and the phones and browsers signed in to your account.
- LineTappy's key stays in your Twilio account. LineTappy forgets it, but can't delete it from Twilio (it never keeps your Auth Token, which that would need). Delete it yourself afterwards: Twilio Console › API keys & tokens. The app and the web show you which key it is.
- Your texts, calls and voicemail recordings stay in your own Twilio account. LineTappy doesn't store them, so there's nothing of them for us to delete. You can delete them in Twilio's console.
- Records of payments are kept by Google Play or Stripe, and by us where the law requires (for example, for tax).
Deletion happens straight away. Backups of our database are overwritten within 30 days.
Delete some of your data
You don't have to delete your account to remove some of your data:
- Your recorded voicemail greeting: choose a typed or the standard greeting for that number, and the recording is deleted.
- Your Twilio connection: Disconnect Twilio (in Settings, or Account on the web) deletes LineTappy's stored Twilio key and puts your numbers back the way they were.
- Blocked numbers: unblock any of them in Settings › Blocked numbers.
- A phone or browser: signing out removes it from your account, with its notification token.
- Photos you send are deleted automatically within a day, once Twilio has them. Texts aren't stored at all.
